Dyatic's self-coined 'alien flow' comes into full force in the slew of heaters present in his "Know The Name" EP.

Dropped on Disciple Round Table, the "Know The Name" EP is filled to the brim with clean flows, heavy basses and a ton of chaotic vocal samples. The basses are meaty. What more do you want me to say? Dyatic's flow is what marks him out as a top-tier producer in the vast dubstep underground, and one could argue that the "Know The Name" EP is possibly the best representation of it. Its rhythms are infectious and hard-hitting, it's almost bouncy, yet, make no mistake, still absolutely vicious and destructive, and it's the type of music that's a total blast to listen to but will also obliterate your speakers. There's not a dull moment in all the evershifting patterns and rhythms, and that's what makes the "Know The Name" EP so special, because all of the songs follow the exact same motifs and style, but they all sound very characteristically different and stand out quite well—there are quite literally no misses on this project, period. No exceptions. No outliers. Just straight gas. Straight gas with skilful production to match, of course, as this is probably the cleanest set of tracks in Dyatic's entire discography, bringing with them crisp mixing and polished sound design and an adept blending of a myriad of energetic vocal samples into the instrumentals, giving a much-needed technical edge to the EP.

The "Know The Name" EP just keeps on giving, and yet something still feels like it's missing. Perhaps it's the unfulfilled promise of atmosphere that comes with the cover art, or perhaps it's the lack of variety; whatever it is, that slight fault stops it from being special enough to ascend into the 90/100 category. But none of it matters, really, when faced with the absolutely monstrous track quality this album hosts—it's easily one of the highest average track ratings I've ever given.

Know The Name Weird sampling hook and crushing drops with a lead that isn't afraid to switch up Dark
Ravage Some nice melodic synths in the offdrop, a nifty crescendoing buildup, and a juicy drop complemented by some quality samplework Intense
Canned Heat Absolutely crazy, slightly offbeat flow, with explosive moments and a bit of a metallic feel Standout
